Many people have read the book, and now it's come to life on the big screen, "Narnia, The Lion the witch and the wardrobe." We find that Lucy has discovered the entrance to another world, through a wardrobe. But her discovery wasn’t greeted with enthusiasm. How often have you heard the words "I don’t believe you"? Lucy heard these words ...
Lucy was teased by Edmund about what she believed. There are many aspects within the story of the Lion the witch and the wardrobe which are a picture of the Kingdom of God. The wardrobe - the entrance to another world, a Kingdom. In 1 Corinthians 2:7-10 we see that God has many things instore for us, and we can't even begin to imagine them with our nature thinking. But God has revealed them to those of us who seek after Him.
Jesus tells us that He is the door to this Kingdom John 10:1-10. Some people have trouble believing this. Thomas, one of Jesus disciples, had trouble believing that Jesus had come back from the dead.
So are we just supposed to believe?Matthew 16:17 gives us a guide to this: God will reveal Himself to us, and the reality of His Kingdom. Look at the context of Matthew 16, starting from Verse 1: Look at the signs around you!!
May each of us pause long enough and reflect upon the signs that God has and is giving to each of us! |
