What does faith look like? Can one see faith?

Acts 14:8-10 Jesus saw that this man had faith to be well.

Verse 9 “Had seen that he had faith."

We can learn some things about faith from this story.

1. Faith can be seen - Paul was able to look at this man and see his faith- it was visible . Mark 2:5 says. "When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, Son, your sins are forgiven."

2. Faith  gets your attention – Amongst the crowd, it was this man who got Paul’s attention - Paul saw faith in this man, he fixed his gaze upon him.

3. Faith has an expectancy – This man’s faith caused him to expect that he would get well. If I can only touch the hem of Jesus garment – said the woman with issue of blood. The centurion  said to Jesus – “just say the word and my servant will be healed”.

4. Faith listens – This man was listening to the message which Paul was declaring – this message was the gospel.What are we listening to – whose voice. Faith comes by listening to the word of God  Romans 10:17

5. Faith has desire written all over it – Woman with the issue of blood,  “if I can just touch the hem of Jesus garment I will be made well”.

Faith is not believing God can, but knowing that God will.

 May  God help each of us as we grow the measure of faith which He has given each of us!
