This is a question we all ask. We come to church, and hear much of what God desires from us, but if you had to sum it up in a few words, what would they be?

Isaiah 58 gives us a practical look at what God is after from our lives. It's not just the outward religious expression, which is so often associated with Christianity. ie singing to God, tithing, going to church, prayer etc.

God is interested in authenticity, a lifestyle of worship. The heading in my bible of this chapter reads, "True or False Worship".

It is possible to do all the outwatd expressions of religious activity, but still not truly be worshiping God.

verses 6-7 outline the type of worship He is after:-

free those who are wrongly imprisoned

stop oppressing those who work for you

share your food with the hungry

give clothes to those who need them

help your raltives who are in nned of help

God's Promise to Us 

verse 11, If we live a lifestyle of worship,

The Lord will guide you continually 

We will find out lives watered when we are feeling dry

We will be kept healthy 

On other words - to do the work of the Kingdom, live the lifestyle, will cause us to live in health.

Lifechangers - this month 

 As part of lifechangers, our missions expression we have begun to sponsor a young 18 year old man in Myanmar who is studying at bible college, and getting ready to plant a new church. This year we believed to reach out to all of the nations of the Pen Asia region, this now is our first step into the nation of Myanmar.
